Acceptable Use Policy
Guidelines and policies to ensure a secure, reliable, and respectful hosting environment for all users.
1. Scope & Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (this “Policy”) governs the usage of Global MCS's products and services (the “Services”). The purpose of this Policy is to enhance the quality of the Services and to protect Global MCS's customers, and the Internet community as a whole, from illegal, irresponsible, or disruptive Internet activities.
2. Prohibited Uses
Users and customers of Global MCS may not utilize the Services to:
- Send unsolicited bulk email (SPAM): Transmitting mass unsolicited commercial email is strictly prohibited. All mailings must comply with CAN-SPAM regulations.
- Engage in illegal activities: Misappropriating intellectual property, trafficking in illegal goods, distributing pirated software, or violating any federal, state, or international laws.
- Infringe on intellectual property: Hosting or linking to copyrighted text, graphics, media, or trademarks without proper authorization.
- Conduct abusive or harmful actions: Publishing slander, libel, defamatory content, or threatening bodily harm and harassment.
- Compromise system security: Launching denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, conducting unauthorized port scans, probing network vulnerabilities, distributing viruses, trojans, worms, or attempting unauthorized access to computer systems.
- Consume excessive server resources: Running scripts or applications that monopolize CPU, RAM, or bandwidth to the detriment of server stability.
3. Enforcement & Remedies
If Global MCS learns of a violation of this Policy, Global MCS may take any of the following actions depending on severity:
- Issuing a formal warning to the customer.
- Suspending or restricting offending accounts or services.
- Immediate termination of services without refund.
- Removing offending content from hosting instances.
- Cooperating with law enforcement and regulatory authorities.
4. Reporting Violations & DMCA Copyright Notices
To report suspected abuse, a violation of this Policy, or a security concern, submit the details electronically to info@globalmcs.net. Please include the affected domain or account, a clear description of the issue, relevant dates, and any supporting evidence or links.
Global MCS respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), where applicable. A copyright notice should include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification and location of the allegedly infringing material or URL.
- Your contact information, including your name, email address, and telephone number.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
All violation reports and DMCA notices must be submitted electronically to info@globalmcs.net. We do not accept notices or other correspondence by postal mail. Incomplete or unverifiable reports may delay our response.
