The starting point
The original challenge
Hali-Time Alaska was becoming Ketchikan Wild. The website project needed to bring that change into the customer experience: a new name, a new visual identity, and a site that introduced the business under its new brand. The move from halitimealaska.com to ketchikanwild.com was part of that transition.
For a fishing charter or boat-tour business, the website also has a practical job. A prospective guest needs to understand the experience before moving into booking. The redesign therefore had to connect the brand presentation with useful trip information and the FareHarbor booking service, rather than treating the new identity as a logo change alone.
Our contribution
What Global MCS delivered
A website built around the new brand
Global MCS redesigned the website and supported the rebrand from Hali-Time Alaska to Ketchikan Wild. The new name and identity provide the thread through the site, giving the public-facing business a consistent introduction. The work brought the website presentation into line with the new brand rather than leaving visitors to reconcile two different identities.
FareHarbor booking integration
We integrated FareHarbor into the website so that the charter business could connect its public website with its booking service. The website introduces the experience; FareHarbor supplies the booking functionality. That distinction matters when scoping a travel website: integrating an established booking provider is different from building a reservation platform from scratch.
Trip content matched to what guests are looking for
On-page SEO was part of the redesign alongside branding and booking integration. The website distinguishes fishing charters from boat tours, with dedicated pages for salmon, halibut, and combination fishing trips. Cruise-planning information addresses visitors arranging an outing around time in port. This gives different trip interests their own useful content and a route toward booking.
Search metadata and a canonical web address
The homepage title and meta description identify Ketchikan fishing charters and wildlife boat tours, reflecting the experiences presented on the page. Its canonical URL identifies the preferred homepage address under the new domain. These on-page details work alongside the trip content to describe the business and its services clearly.
Structured data for individual charter services
We added service-specific structured data for salmon fishing, halibut fishing, combination charters, Alaska Wilderness Explorer, and Ketchikan Coastal Discovery. Each service connects to Ketchikan Wild as its provider, the Ketchikan service area, and its relevant offers. Fishing charters and boat tours are grouped into offer catalogs, alongside organization, webpage, and breadcrumb information. This provides search engines with an explicit description of the services and their relationships.
Google Search Console integration
Google Search Console setup was included in the project to support checking how Google discovers and indexes the new website. It provides a place to review search visibility and investigate indexing issues after launch, alongside the website’s on-page SEO work.
Google Analytics through the site’s consent layer
The website’s consent configuration includes the Google Analytics 4 tag. Connecting Analytics through that layer makes visitor measurement part of the website setup, with the analytics integration managed through the site’s consent controls. This gives the business a foundation for reviewing website use as data becomes available.
