Follow these steps to connect your Global MCS custom domain mailbox to the latest versions of Microsoft Outlook on Windows or Mac:
- Open Microsoft Outlook and click File → Add Account (or Settings → Accounts → Add Account in the New Outlook).
- Enter your full email address (e.g.,
you@yourdomain.com), click Advanced options, check "Let me set up my account manually", and click Connect. - Select IMAP (Recommended) or POP.
- Configure the server settings:
- Incoming Mail (IMAP): Server:
webmail.globalmcs.net(ormail.yourdomain.com) • Port:993• Encryption method:SSL/TLS - Outgoing Mail (SMTP): Server:
webmail.globalmcs.net(ormail.yourdomain.com) • Port:465(SSL/TLS) or587(STARTTLS) • Encryption:SSL/TLS
- Incoming Mail (IMAP): Server:
- Check "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" (leave unchecked if your client authenticates via normal password over SSL) and ensure "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" is checked with "Use same settings as incoming mail server" enabled.
- Enter your email account password and click Connect / Next. Outlook will test the connection and display "Account successfully added".
